What's the difference between Nestlé® 100% Fresh Milk and UHT Reconstituted Milk?

At Nestlé Trinidad and Tobago we value our consumers and want to provide them with the information they need in making the best choice for you and your family.

Milk is very important to Nestlé because it is an easy way to incorporate good nutrition into your diet for you and for your family. We have learnt alot from our consumers when it comes to milk and consumers preferred milk taste profile. We also want to ensure that everyone has access to good nutrition as well.

We offer consumers great tasting milk with high nutritional value and a variety of options for various consumers: Our 100% Fresh Cow’s milk( which is our Blue pack) which comes straight from our farmers to Nestlé then to our consumers. The Full Cream Reconstituted Milk is milk made from powdered milk (which consist of milk ingredients) and water to give you a glass of milk or to give you the fluid version of milk. It is what a consumers would have done at home, when they add water to powdered milk. In this case, Nestlé has this step for you.

While one product is fresh and the other is reconstituted, they are both full cream milks and they provide similar levels of nutrition, where they meet local regulatory requirements for the definition of “full cream” milk with

  • Not less than 3% fat
  • Not less than 8.5% milk solids non-fat

We ensure that all our consumers’ needs are met and we are aware of the diversity of consumers in Trinidad and Tobago and their taste preferences for example some consumers prefer the fresh Cow’s milk and some consumers prefer a slightly different tasting Milk option which is the reconstituted milk. While one product is fresh the other is reconstituted it provides similar levels of nutrition for the consumer. As indicated on the Nutrition Information package.
