Graduates & Entry Level

Trainees

Similar to a traditional graduate programme, the Trainee programme at Nestlé offers the recent graduate the opportunity to begin their career with a long term strategic plan of integrating them into the organization. They are the future leaders of our organization! This programme’s duration is 18 months and the development and performance of the trainees are accessed throughout the programme to facilitate their transitions into a substantive role.

Internships

Nestlé partners with Career Development and Student Placement offices at local universities to request CVs of persons who may be suitable for our internship opportunities. For recent graduates or students still pursuing their degree, we are committed through our Nestlé needs YOUth initiative to provide more opportunities for young adults between the ages of 16-30 years old to get work experience and become more employable. We offer internships throughout the year, interns receive a monthly stipend and can gain employment from 3 to 12 months depending on the needs of the department.

Students can also use an internship to determine if they have an interest in a particular career, create a network of contacts and get hands on work experience. Unlike our trainee programme, employment at the completion of an internship is not guaranteed but it will make you more employable.

Apprenticeship

An apprenticeship combines and alternate company based training (periods of practical work experience at a workplace) with school based education (periods of theoretical/practical education followed in a school or training centre). At the end of the apprenticeship, a recognized certification degree has to be issued by the university or school.

Nestlé offers these placements for students where as part of the requirements to graduate with a technical, vocational or degree qualification, are required to spend a minimum number of contact hours or complete modules with an organization, learning from subject matter experts. Schools and universities will share their curriculum and learning requirements and through an apprenticeship at Nestlé, the student will be able to complete the required curriculum to earn their certificate or qualification.

These opportunities are as the need arises for the student and the organization and are geared to technical or vocational studies and those in their final year of their degree.
